Default E46 330CI/Alpina B3 anyone got any opinions on them?

Looking around at M3's and TBH not really fussed about the performance as going from the 3dr I am fairly sure they will feel piss slow

But that is not what it would be about for me. So started looking at something with the same toys etc and wondered if anyone has owned either of the above?

14k or so gets you an M3 with some miles on it or not many toys where as same cash gets you the above with toys and not many miles.

its true about being slow compared to the cos but you will still crave alot more than the 330ci will give, thats why i had to go for the m3 in the end, pick mine up 2moro hopefully

also a mate of mine went from an m3 with no toys to a fully loaded alpina b3s and regretted it from day 1. I am getting an e46 m3 coupe 2moro on a 52 plate with 60k from a main dealer with 1 yr extendable warranty and break down cover for £17.8k with all the toys etc, slightly dear but i wanted main dealer piece of mind so was happy to pay more.

Hmmm might just push the boat out more then, my main concern is I dont drive much at all....................2k miles ish a yeah so it would probably take me a year or so just to see if i liked the car and by then I would have lost a fair bit.

Did have a black coupe on 18" BBS LM's in mind before I was worried i wouldnt like it and started looking at comitting to something that cost less to see how I got on

Have you thought about getting an E39 M5 or an E39 Aplina B10 V8?

Did think about an E39 or an RS4 but think that would just be too "grown up for me" (4dr saloon or 5dr hatch) I am trying to pry myself away from the 3dr gentley so dont want toom much of a transition in the looks department

I had an 825SD hatch in fetching John Major Grey, and then a Vitesse Sport (lovely Recaro's) at the same time

Rover Turbo's can be fun LOL I sold my Vitesse Sport for a Cossie. what a mistake

andy im the same mate, dont use a car much at all, have a van for work and usually drink if im out lol, but when i look at or drive a 330 it just hasnt got the stance, agressiveness, power of the m3, and for roughly 3-4k more its worth going for the m3 imo. Yes its gonna loose money but hey ho

I agree so much.

I could go and get an Aplina B10 V8 or a 540i V8 but they arent an M5.
