Default Q registration

Does anyone know or had the experience of trying to get rid of a Q registration
number off a car and getting ANY other plate.

I would ask DVLA but its nearly impossible to get a human on the phone.
(I have been trying for 4 days )

It seems that insurance companys automatically load a premium if a
vehicle has such a plate. E.G a kit car.

And of course, A Q reg car cannot have a personalised reg number.

Is it possible ?

not the end of the world,
a lot of kit cars have a Q plate,
there are specialist insurance companies for kit cars that are well used to them

should think a kit car on q would be okay to insure i thought it was only previously write off's and cars with no id that had already been paid out for by insurance company
