Exporting Car to the UK
Looks like my Cossie is on the way to a new home,altho ppl think they may have to pay some sort of VAT Export Duty on entry to the UK, It's a '92 Saph Cossie, I have some info from the DVLA here but not 100% on it ;
PERSONAL IMPORT OF USED PASSENGER CARRYING VEHICLE FROM THE CHANNEL ISLANDS (ie Jersey, Guernsey and Sark)
Documents required :-
V55/5 *Proof of name and address required
Certificate of Conformity or SVA Certificate
Vehicle Registration Document
V25(NI) Declaration of Personal Importation
C&E 386 or C&E 388
Valid certificate of motor insurance or cover note (Insurance should be in the name of registered keeper)
Vehicle Test Certificate (if required)
Appropriate Vehicle Excise Duty and Vehicle Registration Fee
VEHICLES OVER TEN YEARS OLD ARE EXEMPT FROM ANY TYPE APPROVAL REQUIREMENT (Including SVA)
ENDORSEMENT ON V5(NI) Registration Book - Previously Registered and/ or Used Outside Great Britain and Northern Ireland prior to First Registration in Northern Ireland Declared Manufactured _ _ _ _

Am I right in thinking if it's over 10 years old it's Exempt?
