Who was driving the thunder saloon ?
Is this Martins one ? If so I doubt very much you would lap faster than that.
Sounds like the Escort was truely flying though, look forward to seeing some vids

The problem with timing other people's laps from the pit wall is that you can't see when they are getting held up by slow cars down the back of the circuit, as we were under strict instructions not to overtake down craner, so if you got stuck behind someone after Redgate and they didn't slow right down to let you overtake before Craner, then you were stuck behind them until the back straight .
So saying someone did X.xx is pointless, as you have no idea what sort of lap they had .
I know that in all the sessions I did, I probably had only 6 clear laps in total where I wasn't held up, and sometimes we were in a train for AGES .

If before, did you time any clear runs (that you could see) after, as it was quieter in the afternoon with all the retirements - one session and I thought we were the only car on track (I think that was when we went back out after being black flagged ). The reason I ask is that I would be interested in knowing how much of a difference the reduction in boost made ?

Would have been interesting to time Harvey later on in the day as I got him at 1min 18 very early on

I'm pleased, as that was the 1.4 bar "soggy boost" setting . Next year, it will be below 1.20, as I won't have the same road orientated suspension then , and the boost will be set to 1.8 bar, which just below the trigger point for the noise meters .
