I know alot of you guys run them.. they offer them to fit the CSL now, an alternative to cups. Could I run these all year round how good are they in the wet and dry ? Are they not really a road tyre ? Any info would be much appriciated

Given the weather we have had lately, I would say full wets would be a better choice for normal road use 
.
As Chip has said, they provide a surprising amount of grip in damp conditions, but the tread pattern just can't shift any large quantities of water, so anywhere where there are visible puddles = aquaplaning, which can be quite scary.

Tyre cut the ends from the cuts that don't go to the outer edge, this make a nice semi wet tyre. But for an all out track tyre and I've ran Cup Pilot sports, the R888's don't go off as quick as the cups do.

Kev, I'd go for the PS2's if your not doing track days
Does anyone know what the life of the 888's are on a car doing say a couple of trackdays a year? Do they even last a trackday?
Would be interested to compare to the life of the cups which are meant to be 6000miles without doing trackdays
