Bit of both, few young kids who cant afford fast cars so have crappy bodykits instead, but also some fairly quick motors too.

Its died off a lot now though, used to be cars parked up for a hundred yards down both sides and massive crowds and continual racing, but now there is cctv its a case of meet up somewhere else, then all head over there, have a quick race, then leg it


As Rich said, used to be worth travelling for, but these days you can spend the whole evening waiting and nothing actually happen!

Fucking hell, that video really does show the difference, makes your car look fucking slow by comparison, and your car is a QUICK car to most folk, very impressive skyliner that.

From where me and Rich were stood you go beat fair and square, from where that video was taken it makes it look like you werent even racing!

Fair play on not giving a million excuses or claiming some reason why he didnt really beat you etc like a lot of people, takes a proper geezer to just admit he got done fair and square

The ONLY way he is getting the sort of grip he needs in a RWD saph to compete with that thing off the line, is a mustang or similar back end, and some fucking massive road legal semi slicks, at which point it will become shit for all the other things he likes to use his car for.
Bottom line is a rwd cossie road car that you like to arse about it and want to do trackdays in, just isnt going to compete with a 4wd drag orientated sykline.

Indeed Chip, but if you read JB's youtube comment it says 100 bhp more soon, which is the wrong way of doing things. Proper beam and semi slick tyres will help as would a decent diff. But essentialy you are correct. No rwd cossie stands an eartly against that skyline.

Spendin mega bucks on a diff & beam isn't really on the options list tho as I can't afford it really wit a family, can't warrant it & for what the car was built for, doesn't really fit in.

The car was built as a cheap toy to have fun in !!

So rules out the Mustange Axle option too & also with fittin that I would be sayin this car is a 1/4 mile car, nothin else really, when that couldn't be further from the truth !!

Yeah got roughly another 100hp to come once it's been fully mapped & sorted out by Tony, won't help much agains't a drag car in a drag race tho !!

Oh Chip, I found my throttle body was jus bout hangin on wit all the bolts vibrated loose !! You should feel the torque now, I'd set the boost controller to 1.7 bar, tightened that & booooom !! 2.15 bar !! She fookin flew tho !!

Backed it down to about 1.9 bar now & shit is she quick !!

At the boost he was running the other day, it was rich, but not massively so, was seeing low and mid 11s most of the time with the odd brief trip into the 10s, but it wasnt going to 8's or anything like that.
