Jb, if you car hasnt even been set up propely do you even think it will be 500 bhp?
I think you might be less so you might be comparing a 450 saf to a 700 bhp skyline and giving yourself a hard time for no reason.

Euan, it's roughly around the 500hp mark (fly obviously), everything I been up against says it's round that figure, everyone who's been out in it confirms that, including Chip
In that vid I'm in 3rd gear STILL spinning the new 235's on the back & you can hear me lick the limiter
I know it's all arse dyno figures. but roughly speakin it's that.
What terminal does a 500hp 2wd Cossie do down the 1/4 ?? 125/130 ?? Mine hit 119 mph but rolled the last 100/150 yards of the strip cos I lost 4th gear
When me & that Skyline went rollin 3rd gear, there was hardly anything in it. He pulled yeah, but only just
PLUS, who's to say the Skyline is actually 700hp ??

JB's Cossie wont have 500bhp unless its set up perfectly, its way off, safe but wayoff. Prob is very few cossies have the power they quote only way is against the clock im afraid. All cossies over 400bhp feel fast, but perhaps you guys need to come out in a really fast one. If that skiline had a real 700bhp it would have left jb for dead none of this you held him for a bit sounds like a double bullshit race to me. Sorry JB your car aint that fast, but the way you drive it people think it is..

chip, its not THAT much faster than my ( 400bhp ) car when we had a few tinkers before. i would have expected a car of his spec (when runnng 100%) to pull a lot harder
altho this was before you saw it when it had problems with the injectors and lowboost etc. now i think about it he mentioned it was running a lot better the other week

In Marks words when I spoke to him bout the lump prior to buyin it off Phil was, the only thing he would worry about goin OVER 550hp is the rods as their standard. The heads ported for 600hp & runnin 7.4:1 c/r.

And jus to put things into prespective MAD YUM (with Dave driving) managed an 121mph terminal @ pod on the same day I run the 119 & he was on race fuel, stripped out trim etc.
So Rod, my car ain't slow what car was you suggesting "we" should go out in ??

i know what your car is like as im in the same boat
they are very fast road cars and its rare you meet a car that can beat them even on .6bar im still beating stage 3 cossies and m5's lol
but just because there not the fastest it dont mean they aint fast, anything that is faster than ''most'' cars they come up againest is fast imo

as for power figures, tony will be able to tel you pretty much what power it is when he maps it, as apart from the fact he's got the experience of fast cossies he'd know that if he's putting in XXX fuel and yyy ignition at zzz rpm it's likely to produce (shit i'm running out of letters ) xxx BHP

.1.7 bar boost on a gt35 ruuning high 10's/low 11's afr. What power do you think it should be? I reckon it is 500 bhp at that boost

Jeez another wild comment from Rod, I'd be very suprised if JB's engine has less than 500hp but until its been against the clock we won't know will we lol
A genuine 500hp is a F**king fast, no denying that, I've been out in 2 cars with engines that have made over 500hp on the SCS dyno and they were by far the fastest things to date I've experienced, however they didn't have a GT35 hanging off the side of them and going on the numbers that people make using those turbos I'd guess its 500+hp.
Just because Mark hasn't personally mapped that car there is no reason to doubt its making big numbers, I'd like to see it up Brunters but once there Jb can't help but lay black lines down everywhere and spit diffs out but if thats his things then so be it, were not all in it to prove what it can do in a straight line.
Not denying your car is quick though but ffs stop going on about it, at this rate JB will beat you to the end of Brunters as your thing won't even get you there
