Stu,

nah man, not Brian's R34, a white 32 owned by Joe & f**k me was it quick !!

I got my arse handed to me !!

I blame Chip & Rich tho, when he turned up they was goin to me "no way is that 700hp, look at the front brakes!" So me being filled wit confidence pootle up to the mile & get made to look silly !! Wit friends like you two !!

In all fairness tho, when we first went up the mile we both gunned it in 3rd & there wasn't much in it, the Skyline had the edge tho !!

I'd been gettin txt's all day, there was a "car" comin down to kick my arse, me bein me offered money on the line found out it was a Skyline & runnin round 700hp, I didn't believe it cos how often do they actually do what they say on the tin ??

Me & Chip went out for a blitz in the Cossie to check the fuelin, car runnin a lil rich but safe & pulled cleanly (thank you Chip ), got back & this thing turned up, didn't realise it was an old friend, so the banter started & we flew up there. (I told him I was gonna kick his arse)

Had one run & on the way back up the mile I started runnin outta fuel again !! so shouted to Joe wait there for round 2 & turned the boost up while I was at the go go juice station !!

Came back but it was all over wit the Fuzzy's presence

Found out later on tho that the car runs 10's wit 135+ terminals

Full respect to Joe !! He didn't build his in his shed tho, like I did mine !!

Proper fast. NO rwd car would keep with that J, certainly not without decent rear suspension and proper tyres. The launch he did was immense. Good fun to watch though. Still dont reckon 700bhp though

Didn't even think the Skyline would turn up to be honest so many times thats happened.

Main reason we went along was to meet Chip & Rich so we could put Chips WideBand on the car & make sure the fuelin's ok.

Which it was Thanks again Chip !!

Next time Luke, don't worry

Was certainly interesting to watch, yours is without doubt a very fast car, but that thing was just on another level, just a sign of how things have moved on I guess, I cant see any rwd cossie beating that unless its a drag special.

Fair play to you for giving it a go though, and you were PROPERLY trying hard, could see the arse squirming around looking for grip even in 3rd and you never let off

Yeah the chip seems very good, its a little too rich really, dipping into the tens in the higher gears, but thats just a case of safety like you say, and it drives mint everywhere, pulls away cleanly etc

i was amazed at the drivability, starting from cold etc,he made it safe because he knew i wouldnt get it set up lol,he did say i could run 2bar if i wanted but ideally i needed a proper setup of course.

Yep, is a very safe chip & glad Chip thought so.

And seein the AFR's prompted me turnin the boost up !! As it is in the 10's !!

Chip, glad you could see I WAS tryin, we left the line & thought this "might" be good, then the back wheels started spinnin & game over !! I was commited tho & didn't let up (or get traction) till I cought him up (he was braking for the round about )

I thought 235's would help !! But honestly, I don't think any amount of grip would of helped me agains't that thing !! Too quick !!

I see a vid & you jus see a white lightin bolt fly past then 10 mins later a grey screamin Cossie do the same !!

JB, im sure there is more to come from your car with a bit more boost and a less safe map, but you're obviously never going to beat physics, that skyline just has too much grip and has a nutty amount of power, sadly they are just better cars than cossies when both have similar done to them, they were built to beat the cossies in touring cars, and it shows, lol

For what we was doin last night, you won't find a much better diff than a welded jobbie and I got 235 Michelin Pilot's & STILL got arse rapped by the big bad Skyline !!

Cheers tho mate, I will try again !!

I'm certain there's plenty more to come Chip, you comin out in the car has filled me wit confidence bout the state of tune so think I'm gonna fit me boost controller Saturday & hit some 2 bar !!

I never will touch that Skyline & they are better cars, but I still love me lil Cossie !!

JB, fuelling wise im sure Karl has it covered up to 2 bar no drama, I'd talk to him about it though, and how confident he is the timing is safe etc too.
Whacking some det cans on wouldnt be a bad idea too of course if you up the boost.

i give it death down the mile, but i actually prefer the road that runs down the side of sutton prison. Much better as it has a few corners before the main straight. It is my cossie test road

Appropriate place at the speeds involved last night, as thats where the participants of the races will end up if they get caught

and typically race night is thursday night historically, but it tends to vary more now due to increased police presence in recent years.

the programme featured the mad mile and what occurs on it on a wekely basis. Not sure what fletch actually did on the programme. Probably a rolling burnout
