I bought a Mondeo Diesel for £70 last year with 2 months MoT from auction, MoT'd it (passed straight off) and ran it around for 12 months and scrapped it in may got £150 for it. Went back to the auctions to get another cheapy and there isn't anything going for less than £200 these days.
price yesterday was £125 a tonne, its dropping, almost half the price it was 3 months ago,but then everybody rushed to scrap as much as possible so loads on the market, give it 6-8 months and it will rise again and then there will be so much less scrap about as so much has been cleared in this latest rush, farms, old cars, even quarries and factories around here are all clear of scrap now.no doubt it will be the same all over the country.
iam going to stockpile mine for a few months now and wait.
