its a con james - theres been a lot in the news about it lately with someone using spoof email addresses and fake web pages to offer people who didnt win the auction a 2nd chance - its been investigated at the moment by ebay and the police as many people have fallen for it and lost out on thousands of pounds

Ive heard its a rip off too!

 

it aint a 1 off ripoff neither, its an automated one - the con artist has software, picks his auctions for things that are likely to sell for megabucks and then puts them into the software - when they end, it automatically creates a fake ebay webpage thats exactly like the real one and sends an email to the 2nd highest bidder offering the 2nd chance - loads of people have been conned by it already.
