Default anyone used powerflow?

as title says, anyone used powerflow to make a stainless exhaust system (custom one)
how good is their workmanship, quality of the exhaust, sound of the exhaust etc etc etc.
also how good is the performance of the exhaust, do they do stupid stuf thatll restrict flow (e.g. excessive bends etc)

need a good ol' review on a complete system (minus manifold) =)
with people from experience please, not from hearsay!

I had one made for my XE corsa and i was shocked at how poor the workmanship was, the welding was awful and the fit was not great (tailpipe pushed up on to bumper) i took it back and they were unhelpful and refused to sort it out. Ended up paying another exhaust company to fix it.

My mate had a vr6 golf with a full power flow it sounded awesome and he loved the performance.
He then bought an audi s3 used the same company and no problem's with that either, they even messed about with the decat pipe for him about six times to get it right (they never done one beofre on this car).
Overall very good service and value for money no complaint's from him at all.
Not a personal experience but next best thing.

ohhh they dont get payed until the job is done...
ive done it a few times before, going back with the niggliest little things (i.e. the exhaust is knocking on the bodywork when u go over large bumps, i want it moving)
or there seems to be a leak from the rear backbox, its louder from the front of the car than it is from the back. lol.
im a picky nutter, i want something thats right first time and is gonna last the entire time the car is on the road =)

and im not paying till that is done lol!

yeah powerflow are just the brandname and they use different retailers to do the work. i just needed it done for MOT time so paid up and then realise how shoddy it was. i wont be using them ever again (the retailer) but again i have heard people have good work done by others. might be worth choosing who you want to do it then ask about them specificly?

ive got a full Powerflow system on my 2.0 16v golf, it was already fitted when i got it but the actual system looks a nice fit when i last saw under the car.

It sounds the absolute dogs danglies when i floor it, all hell breaks loose i imagine on some cars it would sound quieter but on mine it has a really really deep burble on tick over and then as said it gets pretty loud when i floor it.
The tail pipe on my particular one is oval, not sure how long ago it was fitted but the pipe came up like a mirror when i used abit of metal cleaner on it.
All in all id buy another should anything happen to this one

Absolute shocking crap from what I've seen. Poorly made from poor quality stainless with no thought to flow. Usual cruiser bolt it up to look a certain way and make noise. Often seen their exhausts cost power on cars when run up on rollers.

Would recomend you make a system yourself out of drinking straws as the performance would be better and will probably last longer to boot

Ain't it just a franchise? Think it depends dealer to dealer but my mate had one fitted to a Polo Gti and I really thiught for the £350 odd he paid it was a joke, whole system looked squint, didn't look right at all from the back and had his bumper chopped to shit at the bottom.

Persoanlly wouldn't go anywhere near...

Powerflow is just a franchise so it could come down to the place you get it done at.

There basically custom so you can pick the setup. Im guessing the problems arrise when people just pick a what they thinks a nice tailpipe and leave an uneducated fitter to stick on what they want.

Ive had them on a 3 cars and had absolutely no issues with the workmanship or quality (turrif tyres if anyones interested). They also discussed beforehand what i wanted out of the zorst.

You need to find someone thats been there before and find out.

Another thing id add is i would never see a problem with putting these kits onto lower performace and smaller cars ie. golfies, saxos because its not going to effect them as much if something is wrong.

I would NEVER put them on a high performance car particularly turbos.

Someone offered me a good deal on one and I was never going to have it as I liked my standard one hid under the car. I asked him what I would gain and he said lots of repsect from the sound. Someone else told me I would probably loose power. When you only have 99 horses, I like to keep them.

id say its touch and go with powerflow and you need to find yourself a reputable branch as my 1st exhaust from them was great, second one was shite to be honest. guess you need to steat exactly what yoiu expect from them and let them know you wont except shit work

The one on my trackday golf has been on for 9 years now and is still fine.

BUT as others have said quality follows the place not the brand name!

My m8 had one fitted on his honda crx del sol from powerflow in bromley, top bit of kit really. 5" rolled in backbox sounded awesome on vtec.

Other friends have thme on pug 306 git 6's with no problems so as said, it depends on the monkeys who work there.
