Default Powerflow exhaust, anybody had or know anything about them?

I've been trying to get a custom exhaust fitted to my girlfriends mk6 fiesta, and have been offered a pukka price on a Powerflow custom cat-back system.

As above, has anybody got/had one, if so, what kind of noise can we expect to get from it and are they any good??

Thanks

I had 1 made before mate, there all franchised though so workmanship will vary from place to place, they build it to how u ask for it basically, i had a 5 inch tailpipe on my T5. System was £270 cat back.

Very impressed with the one fitted to a mates car. Sounds unreal and has made a noticeable difference.

All depends on who made/fitted it. Some places use shitty 410 stainless, others use 309. All depends. I had one years ago, it fell off 3 times, rattled constantly, then after 9 months it had rusted. Bought a magnex, much better.

Pretty sure it's 409 (low-grade stainless steel, designed to get a surface-coating of rust to protect against further corrosion - useless if you want the exhaust to keep the "shine" usually attached to stainless-steel) and 304 (better quality stainless steel, with protection against surface and deep corrosion - better for exhausts, if you want it to last a while and keep that nice reflective shine, but also more expensive to use and harder to work with).

Guess which one a Powerflow franchise used on mine (I only found out afterwards, after discussing with them, when ordering, that the car was going to be going to shows/etc. quite often)!

After 9 months on the car...

Normal everyday use......the garage that fitted it tried to blame it on sea-air, but I didn't live anywhere near the sea at the time, and I'm pretty sure that level of corrosion would have required me to live IN the sea!

having seen various jobs like these, i would only consider it if your car was so rare that a magnex/janspeed/mongoose/piper or even a PECO was not available.

hayward and scott?

their work has always been well regarded

Ended up having the 309 fitted. The missus is well chuffed. Looks and sounds pukka. Comes with a lifetime guarantee too, so all in all
