i would say ea's rollers are about 10% out, which means the more tuned the engine the bigger decrepancy! If i ever build a yb i would make sure i used their rollers for that feel good factor

I know for a fact all the rumours surrounding Martin are well exagerated.
I know this as once I made a comment publically on here (forget what it was or why I did it) and I was susequently put straight by someone I trust.

I appologised (well I tried but was ignored) but he never did forgive me but thats up to him. !
While he was talking to me, and even now, I have nothing but respect for him and his work.

Some people need to shut the fuck up and stop dissing the good companies on here, and carry on abusing me (or internet brands LOL) instead, its what I am here for LOL

Ah good ol' EA.
Wouldn't take my car there for a fooking oil change after what Paul did to my car.
When I was building my Zetec Turbo on Omex I rather stupidly decided to go to EA for the base map to be put on. After charging me Ł350+ and telling me the car wouldn't start as I apparently had the wrong flywheel and they couldn't get a pick up off the CPS.

So changed the flywheel and CPS and after changing the fuel pump wiring they got it started! Another Ł400 or so later I thought great. Only it wasn't. It had NO cold start map, ran so so rich, and generally drove like shit.

After Paul then told me he could get 330bhp+ out of it (on standard rods) I decided Id use another tuner and took it to Stu.

It was at this point Stu (in disbelief) pointed out the car had a 2.0 N/A base map which can be downloaded from the Omex website for FREE! I was fuming!

Stu also said he couldnt believe a tuner had worked on the car and not noticed the long list of problems inlcluding no temp sensor, map sensor mounting, throttle giving 60% max and loads of other things. Total cowboy tosser could have cost me my engine!

Stu sorted everything out, mapped it perfectly and charged me less than Ł350.

Thats why my Cossie now goes to Blackpool.

Talking Hi it's Paul from EA!!!!

Hi Guys!!!

Just had a few phone calls today telling me what is going on here and much to my surprise my fan club have been saying bad things about me once again!

Yes one of my staff made a huge error in leaving his torx driver in a customers Skyline head no damage was done and would have been done as where the torx bit was left the cam cover held it in place(phew!!!!), i have apologised to the customer and he completely happy with me and the work which has been undertaken on his car.

My business is doing very well you will be upset to hear getting stronger every year (not bad for a tea boy!!), i have a very strong customer base and i have lots of exotic cars coming through my workshop on a daily basis.

I'm sure this will get your juices flowing and many more bad things will be posted, but as you know i'm not the sort of person to sit in front of forums 24/7 slagging people off (i have a life)

Happy reading

Paul

So are you supprised to hear people talking about your bad workmanship when you have two people here who have had bad expirences with your company???

i havent had work done by you and wouldnt based on these 2 story's alone.

Please feel free to pull them apart as you see fit, maybe you can reconstruct the storys in away, that they wont blow up in your face, as your work done, has in the past.

Went to pick it up two weeks later!! Paid the bill for fixing the gasket....Ł600!!! Asked him again "how fast can I go" EA said "dont worry its all ok now so as fast as you want, thats what its build for". Drove off very fed up, went home at driving test speed. First time I nailed it.........Blew the engine to bits....Rods everywhere.....!

Upon examination by another tuner....when the engine was removed, the true scale of the bodge was revealed. Truly truly shocking!!

EA told me to get lost for warranty build even tho they built the engine and mapped it 11 months earlier at great cost......and fitted the new turbo/wastegate so was all their work!!

So the skyline guy is very lucky he got any compensation!!

you could only see the top of it though that goes into the driver socket, not the business end that was in the bolt head so it could be either, tools not your speciality?

So then, are you going to remburse Ian for his engine you wrecked? .... or are you just going to ignore him and hope he goes away? Do the decent thing and fix your fuck-up, how can you justify the wastegate fitment, it was obvious to anyone who can turn a spanner that it was never going to work.

Be a man, say sorry and pay up.
