who does big wing sumps

I had an issue with oil starvation at Snetterton this weekend under heavy braking and was thinking about a bigger sump. Does anybody know a good source for a big sump with baffles, or do the ones listed above come with internal modifications to stop oil surge already?

They do look nice but there are a couple of issues with that sump that have been bugging me...
1) The right hand wing where it curves up, there is no point. It wwill not gain you any capacity as it will not fill up, you will just trap air.
2) This is only a minor one. Why go to the trouble of plating it and then having to pass that extra cost onto the customer when it is pointless. Its emersed in oil. Its never going to rust!
Other than that, nicely made.

the reason why that is like that so it has no issues with the starter motor
if you mean the side that has a bit of a dish
at the end of the day this thing works and works well and it does controll the oil ..... you all ways have the same amount of oil in the sump at any one time no matter what the car is doing
accel/brake/cornering/left/ right .....the gates open and close accordingly
these are 100 times better than just wings welded on the side of the sump and holes drilled in the side
how do they controll oil speed and stop the oil rushing to the front of the engine when under heavy braking and cornering hard from left to right ?
this is a fully controlled sump that does every thing needed for track use ?
yes this sump is an over kill for just normal road use i will agree with that
the reason why it's coated just for finsih really not to gain extra money its 300 thats with or with finsh ......lol...

And there is a -8 fitting in the end which breathes upto the breather so it wouldn't create an air pocket.

at the end of the day ,they do exactly what they were made for
mine has -10 fitting and is not 45 degree
how can this casue an air pocket for a start most decent cossys with have a proper breathing system that breats from both sides of the block
and these have a baffle to stop oil from going up to the retern
so what sump have you got on your car ? have you got dry sump?
dry sump wins hands down , but this type of sump in next best to dry sump regaurdles what you think

Marco, the breathing system has nothing to do with it.
45 deg is not the angle of the breather. It was a joke about how you would have to put the car to fill the sump up.
Look up "diving bell" on wikipedia and the principal behind the trapped air will be explained.

hi mate
to be honest if it does then i'm not too botherd , i know this sump works well regaurdless of that , all i know i have never blown an engine with this sump on ,
i have blown engines without a big wing sump of some kind
so it good enough for me
what other sump is out which is as good as this one ?
