Marco as i said above
"Only pics i have to hand are these ones of an un baffled/gated version."
The unbaffled/gated version like above are infact £100. It is £50 extra for the gate and baffle system.
Are you saying yours looks £150 better because it has curvy bits?? I'm sure they both work just as well as each other. The baffle/gate system i fit infact looks very similar in design to the one you use.
If any fool can make them, why are you getting your mate to make yours? Can you not TIG weld aluminium?

I've had to weld up one of HT's 2wd sumps, and inlet mani's for a customer. As they both leaked in about 4-5 places as soon as they were fitted.
I dont under stand why some places dont chemically leak test before sending them out.

Cost is a major factor, as is finding the space in the engine bay to put the dry sump system. 99.9% of people will be fine with it even with hard track use

Yep, two bottles of oil i'm afraid so £80-120. However twice as much oil means if you keep the intervals the same in theory the oil will be half as contaminated and half as broken down. Also with a greater resevoir of oil your oil temp will be more consistent.

Yes, £150-400 for a big wing sump depending on where you buy it, but you will easily end up spending £1k plus for a dry sump setup by the time you have purchased sump, pump, tank, lines and fittings.
