Default will a...

decent gel battery for a motorbike be good enough to use in a car?

i only have the lighting circuit in the 3dr, no other elcetrics etc except for the ecu... was just wondering if one would be ok to start it, as i cant find any car ones on ebay lol

whats the spec, cold crank amps etc, id probably say no!

Are bike batteries not 8v and cars 12v?? or am I barking up the wrong tree

Wrong tree I'm afraid.

Old Volkswagen Campers had 6 volt electrics, but that's about it.

Fudgey, as above, not enough Amps to get the car going, especially from cold. Plus bike batteries can be very expensive.

How about something like a Micra battery? Lot of Evo owners use them as they are small but still have ooomph!!

cheers si, it will be mounted int he boot tho, so ideally i want a gel, as if i bin it, i dont get battery acid in the face lol
