Is the escort making a comeback sometime soon as rumour has it that Tony has been seen collecting parts for the engine. Only hope he remembers where all the bits go on it.

I know this car revs, but what is it like low down? It's still on standard inlet isn't it?

It is good lowdown and will pull cleanly from about 2000rpm all the way to about 8800rpm. I know Tony spent a lot of time mapping the ecu to get a good clean spread of power right through the rev range.

 

Very nice. Bet it's seriously fun to drive!

 

Ask the man himself but he will just say it is just an old escort (Not one for getting over excited is Tony) Plenty of people on here drove it though so they could tell you how it goes as well as me. Tony has started to strip the block and is on with the rebuild but it may take a while as he is a busy bunny most of the time. Im on hols for a week after Friday so might get on with it myself while im off.

 

I know what it's like, I've got two days a week to work on mine, but those two days are spent working on customer cars! It will get done one day.
