Well it used to look like this (first time during the build it had seen proper daylight)

Its not a public eye car - dont do magazines etc

Still wins class trophies though when out competing in sealed surface rallys

I've had the honour of driving this car in anger, and it is quite simply incredible. The handling, corner speed, turn in, balance, controlability are second to none. I rember following Evo's and Skyline's into bends and pushing them, or even going round the outside... If anyone gets the chance to go out with Tony driving it in anger, then do so - you will not regret it. Here we have a 20 year old car that wins it's class against much more modern machinery, and is faster than Grp A rally cars (yes, 4wd turbo..) on twisty stages...

Thanks Rick

Never drive it in anger on track days as its only on its toy map then lol

My favourite quote for my car actually came from Rob "the diva" who after being in it at croft said something like

"f in hell tony that is soooo tight if you ran over a 50p piece you would be able to tell if it was heads or tails !! "

lol

'kin ell, that brings back some awesome memories of TWO National Days in this car!
Its about the only thing that keeps my faith in a FWD ford being able to handle well - if you ever have ANY doubt of that, go out in this car!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome car, top bloke, cant thank you enough Tony!! (must do this again sometime )

I remember that day really well

Sketch took me out for one session in it and I was BLOWN AWAY by the way the car handled. He could literally dive into a corner and simply change from one line to another and the car never seemed to get unsettled. Slower car on the inside? Dive to the outside and round the obstruction.

Slower car in the middle, zig zag round it

The noise it makes at those revs is incredible, in the car is LOUD, although the cool ass intercoms make life bearable.

From behind, ragging my Cossie after it you could hear it so clearly over the din of my own car. I wish I knew how to get my old video tape stuff onto the PC

Stunningly quick and cool motor, owned by a stunningly nice and cool bloke

Spill some of the spec Tony! I'm sure a few peeps will be surprised by the motor for one - plus the trick suspension set up....

Si

After having the job of building and servicing this car i can confirm that it is probably one of the best handling FWD cars about and it sure does go well, From the comments on this thread you all know Tony can peddle it well but it is such a forgiving car to drive i think most people could get in it and drive it quickly after a few laps and the way it revs really is surprising, as for being trick i think you would be very surprised about how non trick it is. The car was set up for Tony's driving style which is exciting to say the least. If anyone was looking for a quick track car they would'nt go far wrong in buying this one, just dont get cross if you find a ugly bloke underneath it wielding a spanner or two as that would be me as it is like my baby too. You never know if we harass Tony enough he may just get theold girl out again for a farewell blast or trackday, come on mate we could have it out in a few weeks.

could set up a pay for ride at national day for people to see just how good there escorts could handle then surprise them with just what is really under its skin. Bindy1 your not that ugly i bet before you fell through that tree catching those branches you looked great i think the phrase is "only a face a mother could love" see you both soon once he's finished having to work

Thanks for that vote of confidence on my look's. Poor Tony isnt as young as he used to be so not sure if he could stay out on track all day giving rides plus he get's bored very easily with going around in circles. Im surprised that no one has mentioned the engine from satan under the bonnet, I dont have ay pics either as im usually to busy working on it to take any piccies. As for Tony finishing working he never stops be it through the dy or at night he is always contactable if you know how. Ps ignore what he says about when he changes gear at because in this car you change gear when your ear,s start to bleed.

Also had the privalige of a passenger ride with Tony at Llandow circuit in Wales, scared the poo out of me, awesome driving, loved the bit down the main straight when he daringly left brakeing to the last possible moment, nice lock up and through the run off area, then back on the power, lol
Also drove it at Croft a few years back, was amazed at the handling of the car, remember sitting behind an EVO most the way round.

If you do ever sell Tony, I could possibly be interested, if clare lets me after the money I've spent on mine lately

Not often mate at castle combe he managed 45mins of sleep before leaving Beverly in Yorkshire and driving down to combe via Preston to pick up a kit he then worked all day and drove back home to start processing some of the orders from the day, like i said he works 24/7 but is still there when ever he is needed. Come on Tony get the little car out again even if it is just to wind up the fast car owners im sure we can make some room in my garage for it just dont tell the wife.

Video is SiB's cossie following his brother Nigel at Donington, dont think Si was trying - just doing a filming lap

Exit of the chicane we had an incident in front, my car stopped easily but Si had a little trouble lol

The engine went for another small rebuild after that as it was blowing a little oil and water iirc

Think Simon had his wipers on at one point
