Great result for NutsRus on Abingdon Carnivall rally
Well done to NutsRus on 2nd class B, 26th overall on the rally today, a very creditable result on a very fast venue, only beaten in the 1600cc class by a very fast Honda Civic! I think he outclassed many cars including at least 2 Subaru Imprezas which he overtook on the stages! The car looked and ran well, very impressive handling from where I was watching, a good test for all the new parts we've fitted recently.

Very fast venue your not wrong there Martin Car handles superb with all the MEF trick bits on out running Subaru's in straight line speed in a little 1600 is not written in many rule books
Went down south to see how it compares with the class runners down there.... a trophy for second in class will keep me happy for a while ....
Met a few off the forum - AlexF popped up, Andyescos and Doug Stirling was there too on Saturday with his mates 6R4 - good to see you all again.
Damaged the passenger side sill in the morning (stage 1) due to a wrong tyre choice then lost rear brakes on the first corner of SS2 when a pipe split and had to do 15 miles with no pedal - that was scary lol Completely knackered the brand new B&M quick shift on SS3 - thats next for some proper MEF mods please massive thanks to the service crew who kept me going all day, Martin at MEFmotorsport for all the mods/work/help etc and to my stand in navvy Dayle who kept Adams seat warm whilst he recovers

Good result for you and ya nav (forgotten his name ).
Car was looking good in the pits
Shame I didn't get back up on Sunday, but I had a tent to fix and waterproof

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Very very very well done Tony!! & pit crew!
That's a stunning achievement, as we all know normally speaking, FWD Escorts dont handle, so what you've done to make yours competitive is an incredible achievement!
Then driving it to a second in class, is also an awesome achievement!!
Very Well Done mate!
........thinking about it, your RS1600i is probably the most competitive RSi in the history of the RS1600i marque, cos i'm not sure the originals were that competitive??
