Default Spec R header tank cap question

G'day sports

Is the cap on a Spec R header tank (Cossie) the same as a standard Cossie header tank cap?

No, it is smaller. The Spec-R one is the same size as the Bailey one. Only the Pro-alloy one is the same size as the OE ones.

Mine looks like the same one as Mike R has in the pic he's posted up.

Can you change the seals on them or is a complete replacement jobby?

FFS, just buy a new cap, it's a whole Ł10 you tight fuck . However, it is set to release at 20psi, so if it is doing that now, I think you may need a new head gasket rather than a new header tank cap . Mine has been on the car for ten years with NO issues .

Ok I've just checked & it's got a slight crack on the side, probably from when I accidently stepped on it the other day

Time to dish out for a new one

Do you supply them Mike or do you have a number of where I can get one from?
