T4 divided flange with holes slightly out? What to do?

Chip- Cool, if decent bolts and washers to add surface area will hold it on, then its perfect
Might actually be able to do the same job with the wastegate actually, ill check tonight. Hope so, saves taking it to be Tigged.
So cut/oval the manifold flange holes, and do that?
Weight etc isnt an issue anyhow, its a top mount turbo manifold, my only issue is the turbo is so fucking big it might poke through the bonnet

see if the M6 bolts will go through as it is and keep the ports lined up - if not, oval the turbo flange ones out with a file (the manifold flange will be too hard for a normal hand file if it's made of stainless). as long as you have washers on there, it won't be a problem

Oh right, your saying M6's are so small they will go through both holes without (or with little) cutting?
Spose that'd work, yeah. Hmm... worth a try. I'll go buy some later and have a fiddle with my nuts

Yes thats exactly what I meant, put whatever will go through now, as Nick says they are MASSIVELY over engineered, and lets be perfectly honest here if they come loose you will lose boost, its not like you are going to die cause a wishbone falls off, so its hardly a big risk.
Look how tiny the 4 bolts holding the 2wd manifold on a cossie togther are.

edit: philidas or aerotight nuts

You could always use lock washers.
Certainly needs something, if you check what size bolt is the biggest you can get through, like M6 or M8 or whatever (id guess M6 from looking at it) Ive probably got something lieing around thats suitable as my old man has loads of that sort of stuff so I can dump some in an envelop to you, in the mean time just do it without and take a spanner out with you just in case, and at least you can drive it about to get the exhaust and downpipe and shit made up for where it sits etc, then worrying about securing it more permenantly after.

It wont be on the road for a few weeks, so no worries there, im just getting all the little bits together at the mo.
As ever, the big bits are easy, its these lil bits are a total pain in the anus
Im still itching like a cunt from the heat wrap too, and still not decided the best way to hold it on, the current plastic cable ties wont exactly work on a working engine

Jubille clips mate, MUCH better than those shitty "exhaust wrap ties"
Like so:
also get a can of the heatproof paint onto it, it properly "sets" when its been heat cylcled a couple of times, ive had problems with heatwrap not wanting to stay on before but the stuff on my nova is so rigid I reckon if you could take the exhaust out from it that itwould stay in place!

I was thinking jubilees actually. Looks a mint job on yours.
What heat proof paint? Just the usual stuff you can get from Halfords etc? Thats a good idea actually, as I cant be dealing with the shit flaking off, its a PROPER mission doing it nicely on the bunch of bananas 6cyl manifold I got!

I used the pukka therotec paint on mine it was actually a black paint but it soaks in so much it doesnt colour it much once its dried, certainly works thoguh for "curing" it on there.
This is the stuff I used, and this is the company I ordered from, arrived next day:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HIGH-HEAT-EXHA...742.m153.l1262
took 1 can for the manifold and 1 for the rest of the exhaust and wastegate pipe.
