Default how do you change the output flanges on a diff
just bought a rear diff for cossie but it has the smaller output flanges how do you change them?

2wd? take it you've bought the granada diff then. Remove the back plate, you'll see two large 'C' clips things holding the flanges in place, someone holds the diff for you whilst you push the clip off using two large flat blade screw drivers...works for me.

take rear cover off, inside on the shaft end is a fiddly circlip, pop it off and it slides out

as said,just remove the cover,tap out the c clips,and change the shafts.

99/100 they just unbolt and come off with a gentle tap, must have been unlucky
