few questions about polycarb windows..
i rang up a place today to price up a full set of polycarb windows for my mk4 escort and it seems a decent price so i think il be ordering me some in the near future..
just a few questions i need to find out before i order them:
how hard are they to fit (i think these ones fit in the original) (pref want to know how to fit the fronts)?
how strong are they compared to normal glass?
would they be ok to use on a not daily car but will be used out on the road quite abit, so just wondering what they would be like if someone tried to break into my car? (the front windows will have sliders)
thanks

if the front windows then you're fucked for people breaking in imo.
slide the window open, unlock the car!
unless they have some kind of locking system on them?

They normally just have a little split pin to hold the sliders dont they?
Mate of mine fitted them to his pug 205 track car, which is ONLY used for trackdays and driving to/from. He wishes he hadnt done it (noise), and advised me to keep the glass in mine... You'd be surprised how light a Mk4 rear quarter window is anyway, although i suspect youre not doing it for weight saving!

How many times have you asked questions about polycarb windows now? In fact i remember you asking about the strength and security side of them just a few weeks ago

if theres no security features on the sliders then i wont be going for those..
thinking about it theres nothing in the car to rob, fully stripped with no carpets etc, so they may just look inside and think whats the point in breaking in that..
still tempted to get the rear 1/4s and rear screen though, you say there easy to scratch but how easy is that?
