cheers lads marco here on martins computer
hi tim
no mate , it might see the gravel on race track.....lol...
being serious , it has been set lightly(progressive) theres not that much preload on the plates
it will break free off the gas and will let the one wheel spin a bit faster going around tight corners
the gripper in my 3dr is set nearly the same but with this plated diff theres load more plates inside this unit so makes it easyer to just different ramp angles
cheers marco

xtrac plated unit with 3.9 and shafts roughly 5/6k but thats will be with brand new 9" casing not second hand one
personally i love the plated unit thats all i have ever driven with right back from the early mk1 mk 2 days

hi mate
xtrac box was about 25k brand new i think
all depends on the ratios i would say max 140
but would be quick as fook getting there
this gearbox would make a car feel like it was on anti lag all the time
it wouldn't give the turbo time to drop boost
all im going for is a mt75 rwd with dog gears standardish car ratios
be good enough for me , i might try the 3.9 after a bit and se whats that like

lol @Dan
hi lads
quick update
firstly went to see Nigel at HSS plant hire , for a 100liter air compressor + extractor fan + electrical heaters as Kevin told me he wants to paint the inside of the car this saturday morning
after that i fitted the 9" diff today, i had to do a bit of modification to the diff mount loctaion as it's further away from the original bolt plates
i also had to drill a bit out of the top beam hole so the i could fit the top bolts in they are roughly 2mm out and you can get the bolts in unless you do that ,
later on in the afternoon got a call from Kevin saying he was going to paint the car tonight , i though shit , better get cracking , i fitted the driveshafts /hubs/ hub flanges both sides then had to wrap them all up so i dont get any over spray on them
Kevin and Nigel arrived so we made a booth to take away the over spray
Kevin then got to work and was dancing to ABBA pmsl ,here he is
heres a few pics after
the colour of the paint is a brilliant white you cant buy any whiter
Big Thanks to Kevin
Big thanks to Nigel @ HSS plant hire without that stuff i dont thing we would have painted it that good with the other farty compressor
massive thanks Marco
