well, a busy day down the unit but the xr 4x4 is ready, changed the anti roll bar mounting bolts today and one of the threads stripped in the chassis so I had to put a nut on from the top, one hole in the floor later the job was done!!
Andy (northern bloke on pf) had to admit defeat with his mk1 v8 zackspeed rep (one of the heads has cracked) and we spent this afternoon prepping his back up track car (an xr4x4) we changed all the pads as they were all on hte metal and free off a couple of calipers, the car hasn't run for a couple of years so ialot of stuff needed attention, all sorted now tho!
roll on the weekend

Go on you steve.I hope you have more luck this year cause you had a few daft problems last year. I can remmeber you saying about the hub nut coming loose last year.
hows that breaking like that micky?, is the cv joint breaking then wrecking the hub?
steve
Well steve, yesterday on stripdown the hub was fine, just the end of the cv joint had snapped off.
That photo was the last time the cv joint broke, and the hub had broken up to.
On another occassion the hub had broken up,but the cv was fine!!!
So I've had all the different combinations!!!!And no other trackday EST owner has reported having these issue's,and its being affecting me for the past 10 years!!See you all on track at Croft next weekend!!Regards,Micky
