get your hands dirty then Don't forget working on french cars is horrid, everything is back to front, inaccessable and made of the finest monkey metal or the most brittle plastic known to man, and all fasteners require special tools or are an odd size. ....

Also, does the saxo have the normal steel cradle that you have to drop to get the box out? £150 sounds pretty reasonable to me TBH.

if i was doing that job at work, we would charge about 3 hours, £40 an hour, clutch price may be about 50 quid, so £170 plus vat, if i was doing it ont he side, i would charge about £85 to fit and the same for the clutch

The price quoted for doing the Saxo clutch aint too bad, it can be a shitty job at times and nobody works for fuck all these days !!

The old 4spd fiesta's were fucking magic to do clutch's on, no need to take the shafts out and could swing the box down far enough to change the clutch ! Job done in an hour !!!

I would imagine they are allowing for 4hrs to do the job !

More of a realistic time IMHO.
