i was up till 3.30 this morning trying to catch it, but gave up and i have no idea how the hell it even got in there in the first place.
I live in a 2 story block of flats and im on the top floor. its a new flat and not very big so not many places to hide untill it got in the kitchen.
Help

Ha. My dog would drown it in slobber.
For all you know the mouse might have lived there longer than you.
He's probably logged onto PassionMouse.com asking his mates how to get rid of the nasty, smelly human thats moved in.

My mate was telling me only the other night he found a mouse in his front room.
Immediialty on seeing the cheeky devil stroll across the front room, past the telly he lept up and lunged for the door, to close it.
Right then Mousey its you and me.....![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
An hour he was chasing that mouse around, moving tables and chairs out of the way.... then he found everytime he was close he would run around the back of the sofa, so he pulled it out and placed a dinner tray there to block it.
It worked he chased the mouse ... he went behind the sofa hit the tray and ran back out where my mate was waiting with a upturned wastepaper basket....RESULT!
Slam right on top of it.... the mouse screamed.... my mate shocked and feeling guilty at hearing its crys..... lifted the basket up quickly....
Then relalised what a foolhe was he fell for the old scream trick![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)

air rifle chap lay on the lounge floor very still and wait for him to come out they usually end up coming really close and kapow aim down abit so the carpet catches the the pellet failing that those stick pad do work very well. but what more humane trap, sticky pad or rifle???

who the fuck uses an air rifle in their house to catch a mouse?!!?!! LOL
just use a little nipper, poison, or a humane trap.
Something that confuses me slightly though, you say you were "up till 3.30 this morning trying to catch it"....how exactly were you 'trying' to catch it!?

Very hard to catch, best thing is to borrow a friends cat for a week, works a treat.
Cats are far better than any trap.
They can hear and smell mice to a level that we cant.
Keep us posted.

my cats used to catch them all the time not seen one for ages
the sticky pads are the best once there on the pad you just fold it over and step on it little squeal followed by a satisfying CRUNCH
