I find a chocolate coated raisin poked into the middle of the trap is an irresistable precurser to de-capitation. If you have a rat (which you don't I'm just spreading my knowledge for anyone whos interested) and the rat is too clever to get caught in the trap, then mix up rat poison and chocolate around the trap and eventually they become too stupid to resist that lovely chocolate covered raisin....SNAP!

Had a what we thought was a mouse not long back. Turned out to be a vole, but those humane mouse traps are a waste of time, the bloody thing got in, got the peanut butter out and escaped again....

good old fashioned hunting prevailed.... and one of mi daughter's books and a lid of one of her buckets of bricks...

the pic aint that good but you get the picture...

I chased one round my bedroom and it hid behind a sub box that was in there at the time, I got a pair of long handle pointy nosed pliers and got it by the tail from the top. Took it out and chucked over the back garden fence towards the train lines. Other mice we have had have been caught by trap. I filed the edge of one we had in the garage to try and kill them quicker but the spring was that strong it used to half the mice and I had to clean up.
