end of the day, how EASY is it to accuse someone of something....
and how HARD is it to prove you didnt do anything..
and once its headlines in the papers, and people believe what they read in the papers..

What a loads of bollocks. The guy isn't right in the head, so I would say it's undoubtable he thought it was a good idea to nip it in the bud before it went to court. And I still maintain that a long drawn out high profile court case with the worlds biggest and richest star could have been potentially catastrophic! Celebrity cases are always more drawn out than regular joe cases. And with the nature of it being a celebrity case, I bet you shit loads of peeps would have come out falsly claiming they had been abused in order to get some money or fame. It could have done FAR more damage than an out of court settlement.
As for would I let him baby sit? I don't have kids, but if I did of course I wouldn't. But then I wouldn't let my next door neighbour baby sit my (hypothetical) kids either. I wouldn't let anyone sit my kids unless I knew them personally. So thats THAT argument out the window.
As for people saying it's tempting to take the money even if he WAS guilty - I pity your children. As said I am not a parent, but I know for fact no sum of money could buy my childs dignity, innocence, mental stability or anything else. No way could I take a bribe to silence my child if he/she had been abused. Same as I wouldn't do it if my wife/girlfriend had been raped - and a grown women is far more equipped to deal with such a thing than a child. If a parent can do that, then they deserve to lose their child to CPS or something....

So once accused, you will have to carry the wrongly apoointed guilt the rest of your life - which has put Michael where he is today, sadly.....

Pity the world wasnt full of people with your values....it would be a better place.

Well said Matt, anyone who takes money instead of justice for their kids are just sad, greedy cunts. How could money make you happy knowing the guy whos fiddled with your precious child is still out there to do it to another!

he's been fortunate enough to hire the best lawyers and been rich enough to pay people off.
from what i've read, both for and against, michael jackson is a fucking kiddie fiddler, and as such i dont care if he had 10000 no.1 hits in 1980 or whatever, he is a perverted bastard. sounds like he had it tough growing up, he should have been punished AND treated, he is obviously not well in the head.
only my opinion of course.

If he wasn't one of the most famous singers in the world, if he was just some bloke off the telly, and he was accused of the same things - How many here would be defending him?
I've always thought it odd, that just because he was a musical genus that he somehow he's above suspicion.
Anyone who watched that Martin Bashir interview can only be left with one conclusion -
That he was a sad, broken man who admitted to putting himself into compromising situtitons with children.
Regardless of whether he actually sexually molested them or not, he was WRONG to have done what he did, and if he was an 'ordinary' celebrity without the millions to pay for crack legal teams there would be NO ONE defending him on this board.

There will always be doubt with a high profile case whether you like the accused or not. Thats why we as a society have an alledged justice system.
Regardless of the whole kiddy fiddling saga he's not right in the head. Who in their right mind hangs their baby over the fucking balcony of a hotel to wave at fans!!!! Now that really is what gets me about this guy, no idea at all and he is bringing up 3 kids!!!

load of bollox that is! If he didnt sexually molest them or anything how did he do anything wrong? Exactly why he was an easy target, cause people like you judge someone and brand them wronguns because they dont fit into your idea of what is normal!
Martin bashir wants a bullet for what he did. Making out to him he was his mate, then speaking behind his back like he did. Saying he was there with him to help him and show he was genuine, then only showing the blown up crap on TV to make jacko look worse than the screwed up guy he already was/is! Arsehole he is!

actually i like alot of MJ's earlier stuff he was so so talented.
the bloke isnt well and has a perversion for children imho, he needs treatment but he wont get that will he which is a shame.
he was abused as a kid and abused kids often grow up to be abusers believe it or not (thats not my opinion that is a known fact, go research that yourself for proof i.e. google it).

What, for being a journalist? He was doing his job - The people that need the bullet are MJ's advisors for letting him do the interview in the first place!
My point wasn't that I was making him out to be a paedophile (I personally don't think he is for what it's worth) I was merely commenting on how everyone gets sucked into the notion of 'celebrity' and decides how innocent he is depending on how much they like his music!

Intresting, First of all americans are feckin crazy asses anyway. I never thought i wud type this, but i honestly agree with thrush. The mans a legend, The best there ever was. With out a doubt.
Everyone who was with MJ were trying to make a mint of him, so called freinds (mony grabers) wonder were they are now. As 4 the court cases, 4 trials 4 times innocent,, only speaks 4 itself.
Mr Bashir interview, wat a prick, ITV made that program look how they wanted it to look. cut ,, edit etc etc. why u think he was so angry after words.
All in all Mans a legend always will be, shame he didnt stay sane though.. Gonna watch that man in the mirror vid again now quality.

Sorry mate but his music and money aside anyone who has been involved with the courts and the law that many times for the same thing surely has to be up to no good surely, IMO. Once fair enough you could put it down to people lying or after ŁŁŁŁ like those girls with footballer rape stories or kiss and tells, maybe even twice but how many stories have come out about Jackson playing with children etc?
If it is true he fiddles with children then he deserves all he gets, his music and him as a person are two different things. You can enjoy the music but to say he doesn't deserve his fall is way off as only he is to blame for that. I mean he used his money to open up a fairground for kids at his age at his home, then he hung his own child of a balcony, not normal.

i wonder how many people only saw the bashir interview, but never watched the bashir interview part 2.....
if you dont know the part 2 version was what michaels own team filmed as bashir was filming aswell and on the itv version were bashir would do a voice over saying something like, this is disturbing etc etc, on the footage you never saw bashir is there saying, this is wonderful, you really care about kids etc etc........
