don't know what the model number means exactly but found a review of a Presario 900 laptop here...looks pretty nice.

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mob...mpaq-p900.html

you won't need to upgrade anything to get online at home..it's got modem, LAN and wireless built in.
you'd need a GPRS mobile via infrared or bluetooth adapter or a gprs card for the laptop.

sorry, no idea what they were new. How much is it up for?

Had a look on HP/Compaqs web page looks good not alot of FAQ so normally means not many problems with the laptop in question and of what questions there where all seemed to be gerenal questions not problem with laptop questions.

I've got a Compaq Evo N1015v and its ok. I dont know what the full spec is but, apart from eating battery power time and batteries themselves its been as good as gold. I did have a Toshiba before this one and it was wank and always crashing on me but then again I think it used to belong to the Romans once upon a time ...

A few of my collegues have Acers and they love them to bits compared to other ones they've had in the past. From what I gather they were shit a few years back, but have all of a sudden come to the top in terms of reliabilty and build ...
