Relax, as Dan says, you'll get the money back
still card cloning is rife at petrol stations,2 round here have been busted for it recently

Sure it'll be fine but I know what your saying, it's the feeling you get finding out about these things and the stress and hassle inbetween dealing with them, not nice!

Exactly

But as you say, thats the only way they can get it really now, or same if you are at a resturant and you give them your card with the bill recipt, then they take the card and come back with it in the chip & pin machine

I always make sure I pay cash in resturants

Since ive started watching the Real Husle on BBC3, I also check the cash machine for example, I tend you carry less cards, more cash. The amount of card cloning etc you see these days is a pooring!

that's an easy one to do*
you'd phone martin up and tell him that the postie has left it in the porch with no card to say so, but you HAVE recived it, but to stop this sort of shenanigans happening again, you are going to ask martin to call the post ofice and find otu what's happened to the parcel as his customer has called to ask where it is and his good name is in danger of being bismirched
they will then find out who "signed" for it and at what time, where upon you can proove that you wern't at home to sign for it and that the signature on the delivery form does not match yours
postie gets in the shit, martin gets to send stuff out again after he's been reimbured the costs, everyones happy

out postie did the same with some books that he left in the back garden
amazon were adamant that someone had signed for them and emailed me the signature capture
which was nothing like mine, my mums, my dads, my brothers or the wifes signatures, so they sent another lot of books out
i then sent back the wet cardboard box to the post office and said "what the fucks going on here then?"

they were most apologetic and it's never happened again

i know i should keep my mouth shut and im not blaming you in any way whatsoever helen but.........

didnt you wonder where a new card was seeing as youre current one runs out in a few days ? i would have gotten onto the bank asking myself

also.......... how did they intercept the card ?? and you would of thought the bank would have devised a email system to tell you they have sent a new card out to you or something

first of all is your post secure??

second do you shread all bank letters?

do you keep all your statments??

credit card fraud isnot as simple as it used to be.. they can make exact replics of your visa, barclay card etc..all from a blank cards..

my advice to evryone is shread all your bank details.

ps- shit news

even if she is on camera..they cannot track the person that easily. most the time the person doing the fraud does it miles away from where they live.

Helen, Tooting is in London (south), so not too far from you, being in Surrey. Could be someone pretty local to you!

Sorry to hear that HeLen.

On another note. Chip and Pin cards are properly easy to crack, not an more secure than the old way (signature). Very scary!!
