standard alloys would be running 205/50/15's

i was running 17's

but to give you an idea:

i had my 3 door dropped, virtually into the weeds so that the front tyres were just inside the arches and the rear alloys were higher than the rear arches

this gave it the look that i wanted but it fucked everything else, including carrying passengers

although i did wind the coilovers back up again eventually, i did get loads and loads of problems with going over even the smallest of bumps

on the plus side it did handle like a dream when i finally finished tweeking with the steering to get it to the point where it was really good, but the down side of eating tyres and not getting full lock eventually had me ditch the lowest settings after about 4 months of having to be extra extra carefull driving on anything other than nice flat roads

Leave it Standard or the handling will be compromised leave the ground scrapers to the Nova boys.

Agree ! When i first bought my Cossie the back end was nearly on the floor, in fact i hated it, it looked awful and drove awful too.

When Dave took the old springs out, they had been cut down, glad it was the first thing on my list to do to the car

Mate your tyres should be a 205-50-15.

If you want to drop it lob a set of eibachs on which will be a mere 15 mm or so but will stiffen up the barge type ride, Refresh all your bushes with poly ones and your car will be just right and will handle very reasonably.

Mine was on very lowered springs when I got it - can't say i liked the "handling" at all.
For my driving it was much better on uprated std height ones

Fair enough then if you're doing it for looks. We all want something different from our cars. For me, the B-road ability is more important

just for reference, here is a pic of mine on 17's with coilovers.

it only shits the more insane of the speed bumps out there and yours will be somewhat higher on those springs i think

and of course, it is dependant on how low you can actually go, if its 2wd or 4x4....

4x4 cars will pop shafts at any more than 25mm imo.....unless you go 4i shafts etc
