Good luck.

There must be a cable you can yank on somewhere - provided you have double-jointed elbows and long gorilla arms to reach.

We tried to open a mates mk5 escort bonnet with no way in. Ended up braking the front grill and using sockets to undo the actual lock plate.

Not going to help, you need the key to open the bonnet. Ive always thought this was a little bit of a silly design because of that reason.

there is a lock in the bonnet, you need the key to pop it once, and the key turned the other way to pop it the second time

i'm going to find a coat hanger or something because i know i can pop the grille, just going to be a cunt forking out Ł40 odd for a new lock

i'm going to go and sit in the corner with my dunce's hat on

Do you know where the keys are? Can't you jack it up and get a coat hanger up in there, might knock them off?!?

What about AA or RAC, they can usally get the keys out when you lock them inside, not sure about under the bonnet though, sure you would give them a good laugh at the call centre.

Or how about a new basic key cut from the chassis number, got to be cheaper than a lock or grille.

i locked my keys in the boot when i was 19 yr old, and since then i have had a strict policy of NEVER putting my keys down in the boot or whilst under the bonnet ever again! trouser pockets are for keys!

good job i learnt at a young age, unlike dojj

Jump on the bonnet, kick the wings and key the bumper, then do an insurance job and get a garage to sort it, It'll get a nice respray then instead of using cans

I am very cautious where I put keys when working on a car. The window is always down if they need to be left in the ignition and I never put them in the boot or under bonnet. Would rather have an uncomfortable buldge in me trousers

Can't you jack the car up and get someone to stick there hand up the engine bay?? or ring the vehicles manifacturers for options?? Try RAC or the AA?
