no need 2 compare the golf on the flat out sections at the mo, i knew that b4.

surely sumfin wrong with ur engine set up if it drops power at that altitude. its a turbo innit?
u told ur little group of trusty followers in here yet of the time wen u tried adjusting the timing on ur cossi with a rag?

one foreigner in here an he speaks better english than u mr jc..

dont involve me in that car, it had sumfin to do with a too dark pigmentation or sumfin...

u wanna go on google now an do bit a reserch into turbo engines and mass air meters.
last one might need adjusting on ur car.

my truck sufferd a minimalistically noticeable power loss the other summer on 4000m above sea in the french alps, so im sure ur high breed race tool will cope at 1800 above.

it was a taxi btw...

the incline of the hill has got something to do with it aswell as high altitude
i have drove the ring in full snow and got turned back by ring marshalls
that hill is fooking steep
you can see how steep it is when going down it
p,s jj my english or scouse is better than your german

jj, i'm not a foreigner, and i don't want to be associated with your personal grudge against JC

JC, just out of interest as the topic starter, have you posted your best time yet? a lot of people say that you are very good around there, i'd be very interested in watching a video. i've posted the video of my best lap which you can watch and feel free to tell me where you reckon i could make up more time i know that i didn't start all that quickly as it was my first time in the car for a year and i wasn't sure about the tyres, and halfway around (at the start of horsepower hill ) i missed 5th gear and got 3rd and over-revved the engine and bent 2 inlet valves. that obviously reduced my power up the hill (and everywhere for the rest of the lap) that would have cost me time.

take no notice to jj he is a good freind and my scouse sense of humour wont be dented by his feeble attemps to slate me on the board
as for my time i dont time myself as a rule
but people have timed me when in pass seat
i personally think due the way i now the ring and the way the car is set up and the longer gears it now has a sub 8 minutes is in thier
i simply say to people that i do low 8s
there is a vid of me going round the ring in my ra on this thread i think that was a 8,30 odd with a lot of hold ups
the ring also has improved now with new kerbs at exit of wipperman
and new smoth and wider tarmac covering nearly half of the track
so even more learing involved now
i am going back in june ,so i will time and video my self
but i think i will leave the timming till saturday the 14th
as friday the 13th is not a good time to start filming and timming
thanks jc
p.s i am on with my saph cosworth and look forward to taking that to the ring, and maybe competeing in it

definitely wait until the saturday

i would agree that an RA has a very, very low 8 or possibly just sub 8 in it, depending on tyres, weather, intercooling and track knowledge

look forward to seeing some film, but make sure you ignore the camera and not try to play up to it, or it could end in tears

i was giving way to cars and was on the right FAR too long so would have had to SHARP turn left THEN sharp turn right with a car that has a loose back end anyway,,,, so as JC "cuts" that on the bricks/curb area i thought i would try,,, but i never even got the bricks on the grass,,, it was just grass as i was THAT late and soo far over the left pmsl

i just cant drive,,, but ill admit it
