i listened to a few people around the ring car park last week and was interested to hear how quick they are

dont time my self but must be nearly in the 7s on a clear lap
i manadge a 8.30 in the clio
but the subaru is in another league
just need more power now
effy doesent now yet but i timed his second lap in the csl and it was 8.32

Your laps have GOT to be very low 8's if not 7's John...
That lap i did with you was devastatingly quick, complete use of the track and after the first corner it was 3rd, 4th and 5th only and i never saw the revs under 5000rpm.
Shame your speedo didn't work, i'd have been keen to see your entry speed into some of those corners
Sat on the limiter in 5th a couple of times as i remember

will its GOOD thing he speedo dont work, hes ability to pedel a car is unreal !
in control at all times and knowing what the cars doing and how he can get it to go where he wants,,,,, yet still have fun doing it
oh and he got the car home AGAIN with no work on it needed
how usefull is that roof vent too,,,, i think i need to get one of them as they do work !

havent seen the scooby going properley yet, only the other year at croft i think it was when it caught fire. dan (ken barlow) haha said its fucking quick now.

8:14 on regular road tyres (not formula r's) (Standard m3 except brakes n suspension)
Expect that somewhere just below 8:10 is in me and that car as it stands on road tyres and I would need something better like cups to get below 8 btg.
Hope to attempt to better this later in the year.

9:31 in the derv bus - which to be fair, is very quick for an oil burning 2 ton motor 
What happened to your windscreen JC - Looked like the driver and passenger had done comedy headbuts against it with the damage to it

Lee's done rather well with his build, 218hp from a small block 1.8 is awesome ! I do think he is going out in a month or so though first and then back in August so I'll be trying to blag a ride in that ! Its still got to go back on the rollers as the head gasket failed on the first sesson so he should see even more power

8.30 I believe on the same lap as Jim's 8.38 as I struggled to overtake him, he was properly shifting.
I hope Alex F has it all on video as he was filming at the time.
I did millions (well 10-15) of 8.40 - 8.50 laps.
I also easily think Stu would be well below 8.50 if he had a clear lap. I had to barge my way past him, as I could only just keep with him in the first few kms, and I can do a sub 9 easily enough, so quite sure he can.
Fantastic to see everyone vastly improving their times / speed over last year. Any lap below 10 mins is properly going some!

your the second person to ask that too,,, aint got a clue whos motor that was but it aint JC's "STAMP YOUR FEET OR THROW UP RIDE"
jc was saying the track repairs this year seem to have made the track better that previous years,, ill let him confirm and explain though but might explain the better times people are getting maybe ?

last year on my 125 mph geared ra box
go to google videos then type in jc ra
and hey presto jc does a lap of the ring
the video is filmed form phil allambys spec c bumper and i am in my white ra
if you look at authors other video
ther is a lap of the ring with me dave 4x4 and robwiles and phil alamby filming and a freind in his three door doing the full course including the grandprix circut
i think it says three cozzys and 2 scoobys
some one put a link up i carnt do it i am crap at computers

John im going June 26th to July 1st mate, changed jobs now so can't alter them dates now, i might go later in year again too, catch up wiv yer soon J
