Default Kenny from MSD's crash at the ring in his Focus ST

Right, now its been cleared up that its ok to discuss this now that everyone is safely home with their family, what actually happened?
Was it a big off?
Much damage to the car?
Is the insurance going to pay out?

Main thing is that Kenny is NOT hurt apparently, so thats a big relief to all obviously.

Anyone get any good snaps of the mangled metal?

Is the car back in the UK now?

Right...

I don't know if Kenny's Focus ST is THIS one i am posting, so please don't quote me on it - but look how the number plates have magically dissappered!

Must have been a big impact to make the rear numberplate fall off like that!

Rumour mill says it hit one side, spun across track and hit the other! Proper shame that, makes you think about taking your pride & joy to the ring!

Just do what (allegedly) happend with the "japs eye" when it got crashed and leg it off through the woods and leave the unregistered car on the track

€2400 of damage to the barriers.

Mainly panel damage to the car, a couple of wishbones at the front, probably hubs aswell and drivetrain, rear stub axle has sheared off and a few other cosmetic bits like bumber and headlights.

Engine didn't lose any fluids, so no coolant or oil loss etc etc

Chassis/Shell appear to be fine - nothing that won't mend

Could have been a lot worse then!

Not worth putting through insurance when its only that cost I would imagine, so fingers crossed he gets more choices than me, as i was basically MADE to put it through my insurance even though I offered to pay personally for the barrier instead to protect my no claims bonus.

The only way that could happen is if you slammed your hand in the car door, surely?

it's always sad to see a car being trucked off like that. main thing is that nobody got hurt - other than perhaps their pride
