Well finally got all of my pictures uploaded onto photobucket, all 290 pictures and 20 videos!

So i thought i'd put a few of my trip pictures up. This year i found myself enjoying the social side of things a lot more than doing laps. Generally i think it's because i knew more people this year and also my wonderful girlfriend tagged along so i found it wrong being gone all day doing lap after lap (and expensive! ha).
So here we go...................
After a great night on the boat on the way over (sadly with no pictures?) we were up nice and early to begin the 3 hour drive to Adenau. After a hour or so we pulled into a service station for a ice cream and a top up of fuel....................

Then back on the road, but before that Paul had some sticker livery to add to the cars................

Cheers mate
nice little comedy touch!! ha
Back on the road......................

Then finally we ended up in Adenau
I love this place untouched by the rest of the world!
Anyway we found our hotel without a problem and what a palace it was!

Next day the track was uber busy so ended up chatting all day in the car park and going to view points. Here's a few car pictures..................

One for Kev

I loved this car...............

After dinner it was still this busy...............

That night we ended up going to Pinnochio's (spelling?) but ended eating outside as it was sooo busy. But it didn't dampen the spirits

Next day we went to the Castle and it was shut! ha So we got a few pictures from the front door!

Cheap too!
Alex - have you managed to upload the lap behind the Ring Taxi?

I used the RAC last year and I never will again ! we took a rather hot nova with fucking expensive xe engine in it and it dropped a valve in Brussels, they gave me a rental and said they would just deliver the nova home, however the following day they called me and said it was fixed and running
we went down and explained the knocking noise wasn't normal and sensibly removed the ecu and other parts to stop it from running. 5 days later they called me saying they were unhappy that I had taken bits from the car and wouldn't bring the car home so I was left to tow it home
The worst bit was after 5 days we came back to find the car sitting on a forecourt (the same one where it was the day after it was originally recovered) still unlocked !
It was a shocking experience and I was grateful that nothing had gone missing, it would of taken someone 5 mins to have the buckets, harnesses and Stack dash out and I possibly wouldn't of had a leg to stand on.
Strangely as soon as we arrived back in the uk I called the RAC again for recovery and they picked us up instantly, took the car to a secure compound, noted all parts on the car and gave me a hire car to return home with
Foreign recovery is a worrying thing for me, I was extremely concerned for Mike considering the engine had no cambelt on it

And on two wheels, the central hub area had literally moved out at least 10mm, or more accurately speaking the wheel rim had bent "in" by 10mm. The rear of the spokes was skimming the bleed nipples on the calipers which first drew my attention to the problem.
Weighed them in for scrap today and got Ł32 for them
Paid Ł100 for them (off Ebay) and Ł200 for the Fluo Yellow powder coat. Thought they'd make ace track wheels.
Bit miffed, but glad no damage to persons or car.

That was one of several cracks

At some point someone goes : the guy thats leaving, thats him.....the penguin.....
I was a bit confused at first so i asked: who ??? Turns out dingy was sat just next to us and didnt even come over to say hello although i am sure he knew my porsche with a swiss plate and me sitting right next to mike r..... He then left making a swift military style jump into the backseat of some hummer and blared off with a group of ex-GIs by the look of it
We had a right laugh at the clown show and then decided its time for showboatmichael
A. I have no idea what you look like.
B. No idea what car you drive.
C. If its that much of an issue then as you clearly know me why didn't you speak.
D. AFPMSL when brad read's this and the clown show, its so hard of you living in another country.
E. You may think your famous when in reality no one knows or even cares who you are.
F. You also missed off how friendly I was to the people I do know at your table.
This is why we never post that we are going to the ring with the people of this site.
SiB:
When I was having my wheels re-furbed I was considering "powder coating" them. Marty said that people on the porsche forums had complained of them cracking once they are powder coated and that the process of power coating them involves heating them up. As such I had mine painted.
Anyone know what the full process is for powder coating and if that really is a factor that might increase the chances of a wheel cracking?
Ł100 does not sound like a safe amount to spend on wheels considering how much of an important part of your cars safety they are. Suppose its okay if they are a known make? Glad u noticed in time matey
Michael: Why do you go on and on about Dingy like that? IRL Dingy and his buddies are good lads who always extend a warm welcome and make u feel at home when you go down to their camping at croft or crash over before national day. It is a bit like a broken record.

RW, powder coating involves baking the powder on, so the wheels will end up at a couple of hundred degrees for about a quarter of an hour, thats certainly not going to do them any good in the grand scheme of things, personally I would agree with you that an enamel paint is a far better option.
