Absolutely awesome trip for me,was great to meet some new people and was very pleasantly suprised to get to know a few peeps better and find out how nice they are in real life
Big thanks to Lee(Porkie),Maria,Stu,Zoe and their exquisite little angel of a daughter Daisy, who i absolutely adore......Michael for being a top,top bloke and the best friend a guy could wish for
and of course all of the usual mob of Blaggards and Loonies who make these trips so good
Also a MASSIVE thanks to Jim Galbally who took me out on a MEGA flying lap in his M3.......that boy can fookin pedal no matter what he says, with a fresh motor a bit of practice and a few more laps, you wont see his arse for dust

Oh and my car is totally fooked

Nothing a bit of time and dollars won`t put right though

Diva, cheers for the kind words about Daisy and huge thanks for the babysitting during the day when we were off roading!!!! Your a star!

Wow, not long been back and all i can say is, "I'm Knackered." The UK roads have drained us to death, same horrid feeling as every year when we are greeted with ques of standing traffic. Doh., we are home.

That was a great break indeed, shame the ring was so damn busy but it was worth the 2 day wait when we finally got on Tuesday night as it was totally dead, but alas, just my luck, the chose that time to do lots of barrier repairs and close two really fast sections down to a cars width with cones while they did it, so i still didnt get a single incident free clear run all weekend, but i learnt some nice new lines and improved upon my PB so im well happy all in all, even if i was a little down on Saturday about the bloody que's.
Will i be going again? Dont know, the que's really spoiled it, as when you finally got out, there were between 2 and 5 incidents every lap, the place really is gettig spoilt now as its just too busy.
That said, i was out lap after lap on Tuesday night and really enjpoyed it again... hard to call.
High point of the trip, finally getting up the bottle to brake after the crest of a really fast section and finding out the car will turn in at silly speed and shaved great time from my laps.
Low point: Kenny had an off and ran his car down a barrier, causing him a load of headaches to get the car home. (Hes trailored it back and will be home with it tonight.
)
Nothing much else to report, the M5 was as good as i expected, yet despite my efforts, the brakes wont stand up to the ring in the hands of a driver like myself who still needs them to work damn well on corners he doesnt understand yet,
so i warped the damn things. Oh well, only cost about grand to renew them all the week before i left. Shall do them again soon... doh. Must learn to drive.
The Off roading was hillarious, SiB should be along soon with some comedy pictures and videos to add. Ha Ha... will say no more. What a howl we had.

Gracy... Ł100 was a bargain for your crash repairs i thought.

Was great to see all the old crew there and also to meet some new faces and names. Hope to see you all at a venue soon.

Ok, some are good some are bad!
Some of the convoy shots up there again....

When we finally got there

The Hotel we stayed in and where most came for a meal Saturday night!

Our 'attic' room with water bed!

Stu posing

Percy and Stu's Audi that i have momentarily named Alan, in the hotel car park!

Some scenery shots....

Some ring shots when the racing was on!

Not quite sure why stu is looking so excited here!

Some shots from the meal on Saturday

Some off roading piccies (courtesy of Diva!)

Our pink roofed jeep that Lee managed to break somehow!

The trekker type thingy we went on!

hmmmmm guess which one moved out the way?

The Hummer that was bombing round while we were there....

The sand buggies.... I could NOT get on with these and just kept driving in to the wall... so i gave up!

I felt so so sorry for this poor lad.... all he kept doing was running round trying to keep everyone on the track!!

And some general ring pictures!

Then Poor ole Percy trying to be fixed at Zakspeed!

Over all an AMAZING long weekend break, with some fantastic cars, fantastic company and fantastic weather! I cant wait to go again!

timster - i don't want to be a moan arse
but why quote the entirety of maria's pictures repeating photo's (good ones
) and making the page twice as long as it needs to be and difficult to read ? why not just make the comment?
EDIT - nicely tidied up by Stu
