Mike's car is without a doubt the best handling car i have ever been in. Proper mental the speed it carries into and then out of the bends. Brakes are on another planet. Was trying to pull me out of the seat. Add to this Gaybirds knowledge and confidence in his driving and the car and you are gaureented to get out of his car with a huge grin
mike, gotta agree, dont know what it was about this trip, but just seemed to be the best so far by quite a way, must have been the company.
next time kelv comes he'll have to leave his phone at home, he'll find it very hard im sure, as it was constantly attached to his hand and ear. and present company will will also understand why.

So are you going to go for a DKE crank now like the MAD boys use Mike, or are you going to give a Farndon one another shot if they offer you a warranty replacement on it?

as everyone this weekend will agree, power isnt everything.
IMO, the best ring car, is standard engine, or very mildly tuned, i.e no more than a 20% increase in power, good suspension, brakes and tyres.
GOOD TIMES!

Mentlly busy trip.
Did a ton of fuel, and 17 hard laps, plus Gaybird done one in my car aswell. towed the EVO home from France,as clutch went racing Scoobies and M3's on the E42.
Car didn't miss a beat, even towing onto the ferry and up the hill at dover.
Overall good trip.

Firstly, even before THEY get it, it is being analysed just to see if the two results concur
I will then make a decision when all the available information is on the table.
ahh chris does explains a few things then, as that thing was seriously seriously well driven for such a large car.
Was shocked when i saw the way it handled and indeed the way it went for a 2 tonne barge.

Depends what they say, as my last Farndon crank had the shit kicked out of it for 35,000miles no problem.

Fair enough, keep us posted.
Must say, im surprised at the problems occuring, as ive always viewed farndon as a quality crank.

ah yes FUEl, forgot about that, we used 3 full tanks in one day
unfortunately just before the engine let go, i filled her up again
maybe ity was shonky fuel and i can sue the petrol station?
oh, and the ADAC guy wrote on the damage report "minor enging fault" recon when it comes back and it has a MAJOR engine fault i can pretend it wasnt like that when they picked it up? cry:

not yours chris, the jag.
dont class RS4's as barges, i class them as seriously subtle weapons.
Although that driver of the jag has just proved they can be stupidly fast if pedalled correctly, i think i'll just shut up now, and stop calling them barges
for me

I just added an exhaust to mine to make it sound naughty and lose 25 kilos of weight. It is always good to know that when its sitting at 7950rpm on the way up towards angstkurve that its all within factory tolerances. It might one day self destruct as the mileage is getting up so I plan on buying a 2nd low mileage engine and keeping it as spare.
