Mike, other than the farndon cranks themselves, were there any other common failure between your car and Martin's car of components in anyway linked to the crank?
Ie did you both have an alternator or water pump pack up just prior to it happening or something like that?

as max, has said, no lower lip, think white 3drs and 500's look shite with them (look good on black and moonstone), too much contrast, the outside is staying like it is, nothing is changing, nor in the engine bar, thats the car finished, well there are a few other mods, but you cant see them behind the wheels.

Although TBH, I fail to see how anything other than faulty manufacture or bad assembly could really cause a failure such as that (ie over torqueing the bolt or using a bolt that bottoms out)

have thought about it max, as i've just sold my digital AIM MXL dash as it didnt suit the car.
but a nice white faced stack unit would i agree.
But i think it may ruin the look of the inside, being that the rest is completely original, and also i would have more wiring in the engine bay.

I'd want AFR in there Ryan...?
Ok mate, just wondering if there was any other common issue between the two cars that could have in anyway contributed to it.

Ryan,
You'd think they'd have PLENTY of time to catch a picture of your car - even with the delayed reaction of a digital camera

sorry jay, plans are already afoot
to be fair to the german beast, most of the cossies i've seen would have given up the ghost after my FIRST lap let alone the 19th one. i discovered a few things this weekend, like exactly how long it takes for the car to rev past the soft-cut limiter and onto the hardcut
the abuse i threw at tht car was UNREAL, especially considering it never gets the bonnet lifted

Thats a LOT of hard driving.
Fucking well done once again, I know I said it before, but I really am amazed at how quick that is so I thought it was worth another mention!
