Default Best (non-car) gadget/toy you have ever bought?

Time for a non-car thread methinks... Last night me and a couple pals were talking about the best thing we had each ever bought, but not normal stuff like "a house" or "my TV" or that kinda thing.... Just something you bought that's made life so much easier, or better, or just something you couldn't live without now....

IE, mines my ipod. Best gadget I ever bought, couldn't live without it as I isue it 8hrs a day, everyday. Carries all the music, and some video, I have with me wherever I go, listen to it constantly in my van, on the tube, on a plane, wherever.... Best thing I ever bought!

I should have been more specific on items not applicable - non-everyday items like TV, Sky box, PC, internet, hifi, etc.... More focused on gadgets, like ipod, PS3, a digital projector for watching movies, that sort of thing....

Yes mate, was a Casio.... I had one also and it was great. I remember being up lakeside when they were just closing up. I turned every TV in the Currys window to fall blast, including stereos etc... security were going mad.. haha havent laughed so much for ages.

The I turned off a huge bank of monitors in a nightclub

I also turned off a huge TV in a pub when a football match was playing

and many many more things.

I want another now

His thread so I suppose his rules. Do nail clippers come under 'gadget'? I think they're ace and so much easier/ less dangerous than scissors.

Programmable Logitech remote that replaces all your other remotes.

I just hit the customized "Watch TV" button next to the display and if starts up the TV, Satellite reciver, Surround sound processor and sets the pre-amp to the correct input.

stop nitpicking Everyday items like I specified. ie, virtually every household has a TV, a stereo of some sorts, a PC, an internet connection. These are granteds.... Yes I use my ipod everyday, but it's not a granted like you think a TV etc is

Can I include my bluetooth headunit for my car?

Really been one of the best things I bought for it, ita a pioneer 7900BT with bluetooth and that is the best Ł200 I believe I spent so far. Plays everything has outputs for USB adapters so I can put USB sticks, external hard drives on it etc, can stream audio off my phone and its handsfree and stores all my contacts! Whatever car I get next, that's coming with me!

squeezeboxes are superb gadgets

http://www.slimdevices.com/pi_squeezebox.html

other than that, an archos 605 wifi is superb - with bullet cam for filming skiing, biking etc

http://www.archos.com/products/gen_5...global&lang=en

a proporta battery that can be used to charge your mobile, ipod or other gadget etc. that battery gets charged by a mains charger, usb port or car charger
