Thinking about it you could try guy croft his books on performance engines go for something like £200 there so in demand so he must be doing something right

http://www.guy-croft.com/index.php

Tell him the spec of the engine and what its intended for

The CNC heads are done by a computerised lathe so it makes no difference if someone has left or not.

I used Andy Weston at Cylinder Head Developments. Always had a good reputation in years gone by, and lots of the big power Cossies seem to feature CHD work.

unless you want some specifically for YOUR engine, custom work from someone who KNOWS what they are doing, not a machine that religiously follows what is input to it.it might be EXACTLY the same, but if its not input correctly in the first place then it will all be EXACTLY wrong!
and youre also saying a CNC machine never does anything wrong?hmmm.....well the scrap metal bins outside metal workshops around the country will disagree with you.

How can you develop a cylinder head without a flow bench, engine dyno?

So if you apply that rule neither Karl Norris or Cylinder Head Developments have either!

And how on earth do you think a hand ported head is preferable over a CNC cut one??? As long as the port shape is good the CNC is best every time as it can replicate that port shape precisly in every port with no variation time and time again.

The main problem i heard is Jim used to do everything with the heads the development the computer putting the head onto the CNC machine Jim took great care that everything was 200% spot on

If your 1 mm out when bolting the head into place the whole head will be done wrong

The CNC heads make a good base but I think most people still have them fettled after which is a good enough reason not to use them.

Nik Waples, Karl Norris, Neil Roper are a few I can think of who I would use.

Never mind 1mm mate, if your a few thou out its gonna be wrong

I would imagine whoever does the cnc stuff there is capable of bolting things down in the right place
