This sounds doggy, so have a look
Hi guys, i've put my car up for sale in autotrader. And today i recieved an email from a bloke who seems interested....so i responded with a few more pics and info....then he wrote this:
Hello ,
Thanks for the correspondence and for the briefing on your 1998 SUZUKI SWIFT
1.3 GLS 3dr Hatchback,i'm impressed.Am very much interested in purchasing the
Car.I will take it for the asking price of £2,100.I'm okay at that
price.Consider the Car already sold to me.I would have love to come down and
inspect it but am presently away to Holland on a seminar.I have instructed my
business associates in UK telling him i've gotten the Car i'v been longing for
and that he should make my funds {£5,300} available in payment of some fuel
equipments i supplied
to him.He assured me he would make the payments (cheque) available.
I will instruct him to get the cheque across to you and as soon as the
cleares you deduct your amount of (£2,100) from the total of (£5,300) and send
the remaining
balance of (£3,200) to my reputable shipper via western union money
transfer who will be coming over for the pickup of the Car and my other
consignments and also handle the necessary transfer titles on my behalf.
So i will need your Full Name,Mailing Address And Phone Number to where the
cheque can be received. My reputable shipper (Today's Shipping) will be
responsible for the pick up.Hoping to hear from you.
WTF
who is in this day and age talks like that? and why go through so much trouble for this car? its nothing special at all. and why send me a cheque for that amount of dough? i think its all bollox and probably a hoax....what you guys think?

This is a scam mate !!! have nothing to do with him,the cheques are bogus and although they clear initially they turn out to be stolen about a week later,at which point the bank takes back the money from you leaving you in major debt....
They dont turn up for the car but thats little comfort when you are £3200 out of pocket
Fook him off.............

The cheque will clear your account, but the person who sends the cheque can withdraw it up to 21 dyas later, by this time, your car will be gone, along with a further £3200 you sent him

i had one of theese when i was selling my cabriolet, it was up for £3k and we agreed a price of £12k plus i would have to give him £4k also (£16k cheque to me) i ended up saying i wanted the money in used notes and in an unmarked brown envelope, needless to say, they kept want to pay by cheque but i said i had no bank account so couldnt cash it lol.
in the end they stopped replying to my emails as i kept taking the piss somewhat

its a money laundering scam mate. theyre basicly bringing drug money into the country.
theyll have you car, take it about 10 miles down the road and trade it in for a few hundered quid to some garage and walk away with a tidy 4 grand.
dont get cauht up in it, you could get convicted for money laundering mate.

Money Laundering my ass
They don't give a shit about the car, they want you to pay the 4k to them, shortly after that the cheque you have paid into your account will bounce.
They walk away with the 4k in their pocket.
A cheque is not a secure method of payment and doesn't 'clear' after 3-5 working days like most people think, a cheque can be returned by the bank in question weeks after being paid in.

no dont do it as the rest say,
a local shop lost £10,000 after these cunt.s did it to them.
o.k so if the police dont do anything about it report it to crimestoppers thay will deal with things like this not only that you may be able to set them up with the police and get a reward for it.
