Im looking at buying a performance coil pack + HT leads for my Rs1800 zetec. Where is the best place to shop online?

 

Dont bother as standard parts are fine.

 

but depends what you're doing - a high boost turbo engine may benefit from a stronger spark, but the leads still won't be an issue really..... ask Big Will where he got his MSD coil/leads Try zx3tuning or central florida motorsport for starters...

Complete waste of money. Save your cash for something that will make a difference such as a megasquirt or other aftermarket ECU.

 

All of Area-six engine i've seen all run the standard kit and most of them are around the 300bhp mark give or take

He may of used different plugs but that would of been normal from Turboing a N/A engine

 

The focus rs plugs are good up to 500bhp from what ian howell says. As for coil pack and leads the standard ones are up to the job too.

 

the reason i want to try them as my car is running realy funny at cold temperatures, wanted to try new plugs, coil and leads as i can narrow it out of the equation. plus you dont always know if scrap electricals will work.

 

Then get them form Ford there not that much, dont waste you money on uprated parts or from scrap yard cars

 

there is an MSD coilpack here for about £40, probably not much more than a new one from ford? but its for the blacktop so i dont think it would fit a silvertop RS1800?
