Default CAE-Shifter for MT75

Hy

Has anyone of you fitted them to an EsCos yet?

Just want to know if the shifter fits under the original center console.

I am reliably informed it does, as I am having mine fitted under the original console .

Does that give a sequential action to an H pattern box?

No, just a positive shift action, rather than the stirring custard long throws of the normal MT75.

Looks like decent engine/box mounts are a must with the set up as the shift is bolted to the body and the rod sits between the two.

Correct - you have to use the Vibratechnics mount, otherwise you don't get the shift precision.

i can see lots of fucked box's with that setup, how can you fix a selector to a car body then the shift rod to the box without a stabiliser and expect it to work correctly, no matter what mounts you use its gonna move unless its on pukka chassis mounts with twin nylon gearbox mounts like the works cars had
