Fiesta ST or Clio 182 Trophy

Ive been offered two different cars as px on my X5 through pistonheads.
Both cars are similarly priced, clio is standard and ST has around 190 bhp with cosworth inlet,dreamsiance....
Looking for opinions and experiances on these two cars.

EVO mag tested a ST185 fiesta against a 197 clio and preferred the fiesta, it has the better chassis

Read into that what you will

I'd have the Clio any day. Especially the Trophy.

I don't think either are stipped out, but the Trophy has Sachs race dampers etc.

cool, id def get the clio, my mate brought a fully stripped out, caged up touring car spec one direct from renault ready to race for about £18,000 thats nice always want one of those

Clio as well Evo are entitled to there opinion but it's whatever feels best when your in the driver seat and the Clio is awesome fun

They were comparing the 197 to the ST.

The 182 Trophy is in a completely different league to the ST, IMO.

I have emailed them both back to see what sort of a deal they are thinking of so will go from there. Out of the two standard i would of went for the trophy, but dont know what the ST will be like with the mods.

you can always mod the trophy as well. the fiesta is likely to be near its modding limit staying NA

Clio 182 trophy, best fast clio ever made, only 500 made with uprated suspension over other 182 models,
St's however are good if fitted with decent uprated parts,
dreamscience adds 10bhp, k&n another 10, decent exhaust 5-10. ill take it that the st you are talking about has uprated suspenion as well??
