Default Anyone have any experience towing using a frames

Right has anyone used one of these

been thinking about getting one and sticking it to the back of my focus estate, to move my 106 about round the country

whats the ups and downs????

I thought these could only be used for recovery and not long distance towing?

Providing the total weight of the frame plus your 106 is UNDER 750kg, its legal.

the good dollys are braked a frames are not so legally yes 750

although ive a framed all sorts all over the country as long as use light board nevr get pulled

I know a couple of people have towed their old escorts with cossie T5 boxes on them, and by the time they have got to their destination the gearbox has buggered up and couldnt get any gears. Some say you have to disconnect the propshaft to tow with an A frame. I guess its not so bad with a FWD car

What fucks it right up is it's the GVW of the car.
Only one or two cars that meet this criteria, doubt any of us would own them.

I think if you passed your test before Jan 1997 you may be able to use it. (you don't have the weight restrictions brought in after that date)

It's the A frame that's limited by weight.
