Default PC Help needed Please!!

I've got a problem with my fookin PC, again!

It started last night when I went to switch the PC on and wasn't looking what I was doing, I accidently pushed the reset button instead of the power button.

After doing that the PC just comes on but won't even reach the start-up menu, it won't beep when it comes on and then just hangs on a black screen!

After a few minutes of switching it on and off on the power button, randomly pressing the reset button and pulling the kettle lead out the back and re-inserting etc, it finally decides to power up properly and work!

Once it's up and running it's good as gold and works fine, so i'm thinking that maybe there's a problem in the startup registry or something?

Really I know fook all about PC's so if anyone can advise me on if there's anything I can run to sort it would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Are you using Vistas or XP? I think Vistas is wank, I keep having to restart. Has anyone ditched it and went back to running XP?
