Default machined socket for long stud kit

ive got mountune long stud and on my old head i had the head machined to fit the 18mm in

but ive spoke to a few people and they swear by having a snap on deep socket machined down with no issues

my mechanic is saying that theres no way his skinniest snap on socket can have anything off it,as it will be too thin and prob break?

im prepared to buy a snap on one and have it done

what does everyone else do/use?

does anyone want to sell me one?

Just use the same socket that we do, it has lasted years so far. It's a single hex 3/8 drive deep snap on that's been machined down. Can give measurements if needed
