Default New Vauxhall VXR ~ Nurburgring Edition

Arrived of the transporter at my work today, the NEW VXR Nurburgring edition

To say it was a disappontment was an understatement!

as soon as it rolled off, went to have a butchers, only to find the same brakes, engine, bhp, smaller alloys, not worth it!

At £1100 more than the stock VXR, these come only in white, with white 18'' alloys, remus exhaust (which has to be said does sound good!) checkered decals, dif sideskirts and carbon covers dotted about.

Only 845 (+-) of these being made.

Think il stick to ma fords!

I love it!

The Astra VXR's are pretty decent cars and any ltd edition will hold its money well IMO.

I was hoping they might have upped the power a bit tho, they are decent for a vauxhall but why go to the expense of a limited edition and not make it worthwhile.....imo

sounds brilliant, backfiring as standard!

Overpriced and underspecced, BUT that said, if I was buying a new VXR it would be that one just cause it will hold its money better than the others so it makes it worth the extra grand or so up front

i think that looks smart, really like it in white but would be better with wheels like the 888.....

for a hot hatch they do go pretty well...

Shameless...

Only good for sitting in someones garage in 10 years as a 'collectors item'

Probably pissed away any credibility the VXR brand had left.

Never bought it mate, came off the transporter at my work, vauxhall dealership.

The suspension is the same as the standard VXR which being a ' nurburgring edition' youd think they might have made it into a track 'weapon'. shame.

Trust me it dont need 300 bhp my lodgers running a vxr with 310bhp, its stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it goes really well till u show it any bend or infact in a straght line it Torques steers like fook,

u also have problems with shit turbos that keep blowin seals an manifolds that dont flow properly causin headgasket 2 fail

I was down at vpc the other week lookin at all the Vxr nurburgrings bein delivered n i have 2 say 4 the extra cash dont think its worth it the decals on the bonnet will come off after bout 1000 miles n the carbon looks tacky

Aye true, but only 500 made, only in black. Not any major difference between that and the vxr nurburgring tbh

over priced and they handle like a bag of shit, good friend has 1 that 280bhp and it awful wheels spins, torque steers like hell and then you come to bend and it goes straight on, my 300bhp turbo nova handles far better

As soon as they bring out a White Corsa VXR i'm gonna go place my order on 1

My friend has ordered one of them, should be arriving soon, not my cup of tea TBH, she sold her 06 VXr to get one of these, pointless i think, but whatever floats your boat.
I'll just wait till the Abarth 500 SS comes out 1.4 180bhp...
